Cosplay-wise, I wore the first costume I made myself, Tamayo from Angelic Layer. The previous semester I'd taken a sewing class, and felt ready to start sewing costumes myself. For Tamayo, I bought a white chef's jacket and hemmed the bottom so it was much shorter. Then I sewed blue buttons instead of the pre-existing white ones, hand-sewed the blue cuffs with yellow trim that I'd made beforehand onto each wrist, and hand-sewed the bigger blue cuff with the gold crown onto one upper arm. The pin on the front of the jacket was actually a blue medal from my Solo & Ensemble days (a band competition I'd entered back when I played the flute ^^;). As for the skirt, it was just a white tennis skirt with blue strips sewed (messily) in-between each pleat. I bought the blue thigh-high stockings at Scarborough Faire, and wore my own white platform sneakers instead of making the proper white Tamayo boots ^^;. The end effect wasn't too bad, for my first attempt!
Thursday
School actually got out on Friday this year, but miraculously I escaped seven of my eight exams, and didn't have to come to school on Thursday or Friday. So, I decided to get to A-Kon a day earlier, something I'd never done before. For most of Thursday before I left, I sewed like a madwoman. I had to cut and hem the chef's jacket, then finish sewing the blue strips in between the pleats of the skirt (that was so tedious x_x). Then it was time to go pick up Kat and go to A-Kon, so I packed as fast as I could, considering I was packing a LOT (two costumes, lots of shirts and stuff, and about five shoes that I had to carry separately XD). Around 4:30 pm or so we left to go pick up Kat and then went to the hotel. I started hand-sewing the cuffs onto the wrists of the jacket in the car ^_^;;
When we got to the Hyatt D/FW (the same hotel as last year's) we didn't see anyone so we had to have our stuff held on a little cart by the bellhop desk, since we were going to be staying in Eryn and Steph's room that night and they weren't there yet. So we walked around, didn't see anyone we knew, registered (my badge says "Sere-dran" T_T. How they managed to mess up 'Sera-chan' that badly, I have no idea >.>) and then sat down in one of the front chairs. While Kat was getting coffee downstairs, Eryn and Steph showed up! We followed them up to their room and put our stuff in it, then Kat and I got out our unfinished costumes and needle and thread and started doing the last hand-sewing for them while people wandered in and out of the room. Charlie was there too, amusing us. He just goes off talking about random things, and he doesn't even care if no one's listening XD. It was hilarious. Anyway, I finished my cuffs for Tamayo and Kat did her vest for Ping-chan (from Megatokyo). Then we wandered around.. it was so cool to be back in the same hotel from last year, cause I already knew where everything was! At one point we all changed clothes, and I wore my slutty semi-corset lace shirt and then also Ashley's Miyabi pimp coat!! It was so cool. I'm just mentioning it because it was that cool. I love pimp coats XD
I don't remember a LOT of Thursday night, mostly because I think it was a lot of wandering around. I know I played DDR and got to walk around in a cool outfit, but everything else is kinda lost. Then around midnight or 1, Eryn and I were really tired and decided to go to sleep, while Kat and Steph wandered around cause they didn't want to sleep yet. We laid awake talking for like, another hour XD It was so great.
Around 5 am, we were randomly woken up when Kat brought Zack (who'd just arrived after driving like four hours so he could check into his room at 6) back to our room. I was half-asleep when I heard this male voice murmuring, and it was like "Who is that??" and it was Zack! Fuzzily, I realized that I was all alone on my bed, and everyone else was over there, so when I complained groggily about being all alone, Zack suddenly came over and got right into the bed and messed up my hair!! Then Kat got in on his other side and he laid there for a few minutes, and was all, "I should wake up like this every day.. surrounded by girls" and XD it was amusing. Then he and Kat left to check in, and I fell asleep again.
Friday
Sometime in the morning, I woke up to an empty bed (Kat had been sleeping in it at some point, I think) and Eryn and Steph passed out on the other one. I remembered that around 8 am, Kat had been getting up and putting her stuff together to take to our room, and that she had given me a room key and told me the number (which I somehow remembered despite my half-asleep haze). Eventually I got up, put my stuff together, and took the elevator up to our room, which was empty. I took a shower and Kat came in while I was debating what to wear--cute schoolgirl-style outfit from Friday at Ushicon, or my Tamayo costume? I ended up choosing Tamayo, since I wanted to cosplay. And even though I'm really happy and proud of my costume for being so awsome and accurate, the blue thigh-high legwarmers that go with it kept falling down if I even took a few steps! It got really annoying!! So if I ever wear it again, I'll have to sew some elastic into the top or something so they STAY UP >.>
Then Kat's brother and her brother's friend brought up the rest of our food and drinks (and ice for the cooler) and Kat and I went down and wandered. 
Poor Kat, there were all these people who kept asking for my picture, and she kept having to stand to the side ^^;;. Anyway, so we wandered around downstairs, nothing was really open but it was still fun. At some point Allison arrived, looking awsome in her Eowyn costume, and we went wandering again with her. Then my sister got there, even though I didn't actually see HER arrive, just her stuff in the room when we went back up; she'd gone down to Eryn and Steph's room to hang out there. Elsa got there around that time too. I think Allison and I watched some random anime during the afternoon, then around 5 Amy and Ashley got here too, and we took Ashley to Steph and Eryn's room and Amy to ours, and somehow we all ended up in one room where they put on their costumes and stuff. Amy made a Chii costume!!! It was so prettyyyy!!! She didn't have the ears, but she had everything else. She looked super awsome!! All of Ashley's costumes were cool too, I liked Natsuko (Para Para machine girl!) the best.
Then we all went down and visited the dealer's room and stuff. Friday is when I bought most of my stuff, so I'll list what I got here.

Chobits 'Your Eyes Only' artbook (WAAAIIIIIIIII IT'S SO PRETTYYY!!!!! I wanted a Chobits artbook, and I'm SO GLAD i got this one, because it has the most beautiful pictures of Chii and her sister!! ^_^ I want to make them all, waii waii!!)

Maaya Sakamoto 'Lucy' CD (yeay!! I don't usually buy CDs at cons because they're so expensive, but I had to. I LOVE Maaya Sakamoto and this CD has all my favorite songs, as well as a few I didn't have, so I had to get it. I'm listening to it right now, I love it! ^_^)
Cardcaptor Sakura keychain (in her cute outfit from the third ending! Kero-chan is on the keychain too. It goes with my third opening Sakura and final-battle Sakura keychains ^_^ I put this one on my car keys!)
Then we all went up to Eryn's room, and her and Kat's friend Jason was there, and Elsa saw that Nick had handcuffs and tried to handcuff Nick and Jason together. HEHEHEHHEE IT WAS SO FUNNY XDD. I took pictures. It was great. Didn't know Elsa had it in her!! XD
I think that was when Eryn and I went down to Zack's room and hung out there for awhile, because she'd found out that Kat was already there. Yeah, like that didn't cause any DRAMA, especially since when we arrived, Kat was not only drunk but topless and making out with Stephen >.> Buuuuttt it was still fun, eventually. Bill (Zack's friend) gave me a massage, and it felt SO GOOD, waii waii!! Oh yeah, and we made Zack and Stephen kiss again. It's like a tradition. XDDD
Then we went back to Eryn's room with Bill and Stephen, I think, and Nick was there too, and it was hilarious when all the guys started talking about fishing, and how they could bond over everything. "Dude, I love fishing!!" All Eryn and I had to do was look at each other and we'd start laughing, it was SO FUNNY XD. Okay, then Bill and Nick left, and.. SOMEHOW we all ended up in our room instead. Damn, a lot of people slept there Friday night!! It was Allison, Stephen, and Amy in one bed, then me, Bekah, and Kat (Kat eventually XD) in the other, with Elsa and this Marcus guy that Kat picked up on the floor. Yeah, it was pretty crazy. Totally like Ushicon 2 Part II!! We had a crazy discussion when all the lights went out. It was so funny when Allison and Stephen started insulting each other!

Stephen: *gay lisp* You found me out! (or something, can't remember ^^;;)
And then people talked about movies and all this dorky stuff; the Allison/Stephen/Amy bed was like the geek bed, all of them were quoting the movies!! XDD Oh man, it was great. Until Kat pelted us all with ice to get us to shut up XD. But ahh, I love conversations in the dark. Bwahahaha!!
Saturday
We woke up at 10 or so.. after like five hours of sleep x_x. This con was SO the sleep deprivation con!! Anyway, people showered and got dressed, Stephen left to go to his sister's graduation, the Marcus guy left, and Bekah left to go hang out with her boardie friends. Amy, Allison, Kat, Elsa, and I were left, and we put on our 
costumes/random cool clothes. I put on my Tamayo costume again, because I love it so. At that point, Doug, Kristy, and Kristy's friend Steven/Gamsnark came up to the room, hung out for a bit, then left again. When the rest of us finished dressing, we went down to wander around the dealer's room and stuff. Saturday afternoon's kind of a blur too, not that many interesting things happened. I remember that Kat, John and I hung out with Doug again, this time in the lobby, and checked out the cool stuff he bought, etc.
Then around 5, Allison, Eryn, and I had to change into our skit clothes and go to meet up with the people we were going to be in a cosplay skit with. It was a Fruits Basket skit, with Shelley/Purple Corgi and her friends as Momiji, Hatsuharu, Kyoh, Shigure and Yuki (the Shigure was the only real guy XD). Their skit was about competing for the most popular Sohma male, and we three were the fangirls--Allison for Kyoh ("Mmm.. catboy"), Eryn for Shigure ("I like doggies") and me, of course, for Hatsuharu ("Guess I'll have to settle for a J-rock wannabe"). Even though me and Eryn were freaking out about being on stage in front of all the people, we were fine. And it was so much fun getting to be backstage for the setup and everything!! During the cosplay perfomances, we got to sit next to the stage behind the little curtain thing with the rest of the skit/walk-on people and watch the cosplay from a big screen. Some skits were funny, especially the ones with yaoi, like the Tidus/Wakka one. It really SUCKS that the Tidus was a girl XDD. Then there was this dating show one, where Wolfwood from Trigun said he was looking for someone who was "tall, strong inside and outside, with a big gun" (XDDD whoever could that be?). Anyway, our skit was last, and in the confusion after we finished, I missed the Para Para show with Ali and Ryan and them!!! ;_____; Waiiii. I really wanted to see it. ;.; *sniff*
Then after changing into normal clothes again, and eating something (I'd had like nothing all day o_o) we went back down and wandered. Then the dance started, and yeah, I didn't really have a lot of fun there, sorry. The music was good, but I wasn't feeling the beat, and I kept getting separated from everyone and being ignored even when I did find them (I know, how whiny) and when I went up, keyless, to both rooms no one answered either one, and yeah, that was kind of the low point of the con. But then I went up to Eryn's again, and somehow there were people there, even though there hadn't been ten minutes ago. I fell asleep there, and woke up at 3 am to an empty room (except for a sleeping Amy on the other bed). Calling my room, I found that just about everyone else was there! I tried to fall asleep again, but I couldn't, so I got my stuff and went up to my room. Ton of people there again.. Eryn, Stephen, Nick, Kat, Elsa, Chris, Bekah, Allison, etc. We all hung out there for awhile.
THEN THE FUCKING FIRE ALARM WENT OFF!!!
Yeah, bet you didn't know hotels have fire alarms. BUT THEY DO!! This brrrrrraarrrr noise, and a voice saying, "This is not a test. A fire has been reported in your area. Please evacuate" blah blah blah and it scared the CRAP out of everyone. We all had to get up and go down the STUPID STAIRS (like 9 flights T_T) to the lobby, where we find out someone pulled the alarm or it was just someone smoking or some stupid reason and have to walk allll the way back up the stairs. Everyone was so mad. STUPID FIRE ALARM!!
Anyway, then Kat, Eryn, Nick, and Bill went to Eryn's room and the rest of us fell asleep. No night conversation, oh well. Just seven people in our room that night--Bekah and Allison on one bed, Stephen and I on the other, and Elsa and Chris on the floor (awwwwww Elsa and Chris!! *pinches cheeks* So cute!!) as well as this Jose guy Allison met who slept on the floor in between the beds.
Sunday
Woke up, got all our stuff together, then sat around cause we still had a lot of time before checkout. I listened to Chris talk, mostly, he was just going on about random stuff like Charlie XD. Someone asked him if he just picked a random thought floating through his mind and talked about it. It was funny XD. We also watched the end of the first Harry Potter movie, and made fun of it, cause it was the slashy chess scene, and Stephen joined in too, which suprised me since he's all sensitive about people thinking he looks like Harry or Ron XD. Then around 11, Amy, Allison, and I went down to the dealer's room, and Amy bought a Chinese dress, I got the cute Sakura keychain, and Allison got a Yuki (from Furuba) keychain, and then we went back up and got our stuff together to take down. At around 12:15 my mom got to the hotel, and me and Bekah put our stuff in and went home. Yeay!!
Can I just say, what a fun con!!! Definitely one of the cons I can describe only as being pure 'fun' overall, not 'meh' or 'okay' or whatever. Cause it really, really, really was ^_^ And everything happened so fast!! I can't even believe it's over. I think that's why I can't remember a lot of stuff, it happened so fast and I was too busy having fun! I really want to go back. It was awsome. Best A-Kon so far. ^_^
